3 things to ask from God as a new believer

As a new believer who has received Jesus as their personal Saviour, and taken water baptism; what are the three things you need to ask?

Ask from God, wisdom

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 1:5-8

Why ask for wisdom? Wisdom is Jesus. James writes God gives wisdom liberally. The wisdom of God’s word, Jesus, is all we need to live victoriously. All we need to live as overcomers.

Ask for the Holy Spirit

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

luke 11:13

The Holy Spirit alone can prepare us for the rapture. Every believer must seek the baptism of the Holy Spirit so they can renew themselves daily to walk in power.

Ask to know the will of God

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

romans 8:27

When people turned to God as the gospel spread during the early church (Acts 2) period, they were desirous to know what to do. They were desirous to do God’s will and not their own. They were willing to deny themselves and take up the cross to follow Jesus.

Let’s ask God for His perfect will, as we await His return. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
