4 Ways How Goodness Follows Us! (Part-2)

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms‬ ‭23:6‬

Let me take you straight into the topic of — 8 ways how Goodness follows us. Incase you would like to go through the first part of this series, you can find it here.

5. Goodness follows those who walk uprightly — To be upright means to be honest | righteous. Job was an upright man (Job1:1) and so was David (1 Samuel 29:6; 2 Samuel 22:24). To dwell upon God’s holy hill and abide in His tabernacle, we must be people who speak the truth in our heart and who also walk uprightly. Psalms 15:1,2. Hence, all those who live such a lifestyle, the Lord will not withhold any good thing from coming to them - For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalms‬ ‭84:11‬.

6. Goodness follows those who have acquaintance with Him — To acquaint ourselves with God means to have a life of prayer. When we maintain a steady relationship with God through a life of prayer and praising, the Lord would reveal His secrets and warn us of things beforehand. Job says, Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Job 22:21.

7. Those who BE the chosen - Many are called, but only a few are Chosen! Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple. Psalms‬ ‭65:4‬. Let’s be found among those who are Chosen of God.

8. Those who are a king — In the Old Testament, the Priest would anoint a person with oil to proclaim him as king. In the New Testament period, we become kings through the Anointing of the Holy Spirit. When we love righteousness and hate iniquity, the Lord will anoint us with the oil of gladness (referring to be baptised with the Holy Spirit). This was mentioned about Jesus as well. Hebrews 1:8,9. The king shall joy in thy strength, O Lord; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. Psalms‬ ‭21:1-3‬.

May the Lord help us! ❤️
