Are you a peacemaker?

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Matthew 5:9)

Not every believer is a Christian. Not every “Christian” is a child of God.

What does it mean to be a child of God? One key aspect is, he or she is a Peacemaker

Who can be a peacemaker? One who is full of heavenly peace.

Where can one get that kind of peace? Not from this world. From Jesus alone.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (Matthew 14:27)

The peace of Christ does two things: You trust God and you have faith in His Word. One who trusts is never troubled, and the one who lives by faith never fears. The whole duty of man is to fear God and keep His commandments. The way the world is heading, those who do not know Jesus need the Peace only He can give.

A man of Peace loves Holiness (Hebrews 12:14). He knows who He worships. He is fully aware that God is Holy and worships Him in the beauty of Holiness (Psalms 29:2). Following peace with all men is a lifestyle for the peacemaker. Wherever he goes, he treasures peaceful conduct. There is an order and decorum, a sense of perfection about him.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. (Psalms 37:37)

A peacemaker is fully aware that to live as an overcomer, he must set His affection on things above. Be spiritually minded. A spiritual mind does not think like the natural, carnal man. What does the scripture say about a spiritually minded man?

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)

Another quality of a peacemaker is that he is the bearer of good news. Is there any news that’s better than The Good News? Of course not. It is the good news of the gospel of peace that can deliver mankind from his sinfulness and hopelessness. He is a soldier that wears the sandals of peace (Ephesians 6:15) wherever he goes.

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:15)

God is a God of Peace (Hebrews 13:20).

The Holy Spirit is Spirit of peace (Galatians 5:22).

The peace of God cannot be comprehended by the human mind or heart, it can be experienced daily in Christ. His Peace keeps our minds and hearts away from the clutches of depression, loneliness, inadequacies or suicidal thoughts. God's peace is eternal and in abundance for all those who seek His peace daily.

If you haven't experienced the peace of Christ, I'd welcome you to invite Jesus into your life.
