3 Critical Qualities Of The Christian Ambassador

Are you walking as an Ambassador of Christ, or do you represent your workplace, career, interests wherever you go?

The world is judging you by your company and interests of this world. Every company is looking at your social media.

A separation is happening as we speak and clear lines of difference is being made evident as everyone is vocalising their beliefs today.

What will be most critical for believers is the fruit of their lips and actions. Fruit will reveal the roots, the state of your heart.

Are you ashamed to be a believer first? Then God will be ashamed of you (Mark 8:38).

Is representing Christ a duty of pastors only? Of-course not! It is for every believer.

Three qualities expected from an ambassador of Christ;

Speak Boldly

“For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.” Ephesians 6:20

Our boldness to speak the gospel comes from the Holy Spirit. As Ambassadors of Christ when we preserve our Christian walk, keeping ourselves pure (spirit, soul and body), God strengthens our spirit man to speak out without fear.

Reconciliation

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20

We are peace-makers, as believers, focused on uniting people on the basis of the Word of God. To be reconciled with God, we need to walk as children of God, in love and faith in Christ.

Willing

“They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;” Joshua 9:4

How people brag about their organisations and achievements on this earth! It doesn't take any coaxing when it comes to glorifying self. It's only natural for the sinful man. As believers, born again, born of God, how willingly are we giving to God as ambassadors? In our words and actions, are you carrying out the message of love and hope eternal?

What separates us from the rest is the precious blood of Jesus. Not for us to live exclusively and avoid people, but to glorify God and bring people to Christ without compromising on His word. Being willing to let go of the best (or what you love) in the world for the sake of Christ.

The time is here,
Make sure Jesus is near,
Our lives are dear, don’t fear,
He accounts for every tear.

Maranatha, Praise God and amen.
