Believe, and Be Healed
A nominal Christian woman fell sick. She called a Christian brother to visit her and pray for her. He came and prayed, and she felt better, and the next day she was completely healed. Another old woman with back pain was immediately healed as well during the prayer.
Later, the brother gets to know that the woman had decided to go to a witch the day before. But she did not have certain ingredients for the ritual so it was postponed for another day.
God protected the nominal Christian woman from giving room for demonic possession. Now if only she would havebelieved the Word, she wouldn't have to go through the trouble. She knew God healed, but fear took over rather than faith.
Every human is born into some religion. Even many Christians live in religious traditions that do not bring any honour to God. Today, many Christians run to doctors for their mental or physical health issues rather than turn to God (Jehovah Rapha).
Where's the problem?
The Word they are hearing isn't taking effect. Is that possible? The word of God is powerful. Why then isn't it taking effect? Many Christians don't want to live by faith. They want everything easy. No suffering. No prayer or Bible meditation. They want to be good people without knowing God. It's a disaster in the making.
The Word of God always affects sincere, seeking hearts into action for His glory.
π‘οΈ The Word of God is a two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). It CUTS us inwardly so we can discern our true spiritual state. The Word of God helps us overcome the cares of this life.
π¨ It is a hammer that BREAKS hardened hearts (Jeremiah 23:29). The love of money blinds and hardens our hearts from walking humbly before God. God never despises the prayer of a broken heart (Psalms 51:17).
π₯It is a Holy fire that CONSUMES all strange fires. The pleasures of lust and earthly life are consumed by the love of God. When Jesus spoke scripture, the two walking with Him felt their hearts burn (Luke 24:32).
Dear beloved of the Lord, let God's word be rooted and grounded in you so you live for Him each day. The time is short.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
