Character Is Greater Than Skills

Life is 90% character and 10% skill. Anyone and everyone experienced will agree after years of living through the drudgery of this earthly life.

Skills keep changing and require training on the go. But the character needs to remain consistent.

Most children are obsessed with talent rather than obedience in the Christian world. What most forget is talent requires grace to be acceptable to God.

Top Companies today look for talent in tier 2 and 3 colleges as well. The main reason is students from Tier 1 colleges tend to be self-entitled and selfish. While they have skills, they lack the attitude necessary to move along with others in the team.

If the behaviour is critical, how much more must we look at Jesus?

What is behaviour about?

It is rooted and grounded in beliefs and values.

Dear child of God, are you rooted and grounded in Christ? Jesus is the chief cornerstone of our lives. The doctrinal teachings are a sure foundation. The word of God helps us build character.

Saul lacked obedience. But David excelled in character. David knew how to work with everyone without compromising on godly values. Saul, on the other hand, preferred to please men.

Without the peace of Jesus in our hearts, our reactions will always be negative. We will always reveal our immaturity during trials or temptations.

The last day's spirits are spiritual wickedness in high places. Triggering unsanctified natures causing divisions, and disrupting relationships everywhere. If you don't get serious about your prayer life or Bible meditation, then you will be an easy game for the devil.

Look to Jesus, to the beauty of His holiness and humility.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
