How to Pray When You Expect Trouble?

Habakkuk's prayer is inspiring during a time of struggle.

Habakkuk warns of the coming Chaldean invasion (Hab. 1), then comforts Judah with a prophecy of their downfall (Hab. 2). In chapter 3, he recalls God's past deliverances as a basis for future hope.

3 Lessons from Habakkuk's Prayer

  • Hopeful, no matter how bad it looks and feels (Habakkuk 3:17)

  • Joyful during trials (Habakkuk 3:18)

  • Fixed on God's promises (Habakkuk 3:19)

Dear saint, we are in the last days. Soon, Jesus will appear for His children who wait in Him.

Is your hope in Christ? Are you anchored for His coming? As you wait, is it a joyous one? God's hope includes joy. As we hold onto His promises, He renews us with strength that keeps us faithful.

The end is near. Make it the most awaited one. Love God, and you will love His appearing.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
