We must grow and be fruitful, and for that we need wisdom. God gives wisdom through His Word.
God stores up sound wisdom for the righteous; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly (Proverbs 2:7). Wisdom cries out and shouts. She stands on the high places and calls at the gates (Proverbs 8).
Wisdom is like a princess who stands and freely distributes her wealth, desiring that everyone take hold of wisdom in every nook and corner.
When wisdom enters our heart, knowledge becomes pleasant to our soul, and discretion and understanding preserve us (Proverbs 2:10). Without wisdom, there are no spiritual benefits.
We need to take hold of wisdom with determination. Jesus is our Wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30). So how should we regard wisdom?
DESIRE WISDOM
Desire wisdom as you would honey; it is good and sweet to the taste (Proverbs 24:13-14). Wisdom brings us fruit and makes us fruitful. Respect the Word of God, and feed on it joyfully (Psalm 119:103).
WISDOM IS NECESSARY
Understand that wisdom is necessary. God's Word is esteemed more than our necessary food (Job 23:12).
MOST BEAUTIFUL
God's Word, His wisdom, is more precious than gold, even much fine gold (Psalm 19:10).
SWEETEST
God's Word is sweet to my soul (Psalm 119:103).
GREAT SPOIL
Consider wisdom the greatest reward (Psalm 119:162).
HERITAGE
Wisdom is our heritage forever (Psalm 119:111).
Maranatha. Praise God, and Amen.
