Only the weak seek God

Some friends think only the weak seek God.

According to them, God is a created being and does not exist. They believe you can become what you want based on your strength and abilities.

They believe "I can do all things through strong willpower and knowledge". Some other iterations of it could be;

  1. I can handle life on my own

  2. I don't need any help from some God I cannot see, etc

No man seeks God. Man does seek the truth. He doesn't know God to seek Him. Without knowing God, you cannot get to the truth.

God reveals Himself in time to all. It's not His will that people die without knowing Him.

Unless God does not draw man to Himself, no man can know the Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus, the only truth, way, and life. A sinful man is proud and blinded by Satan from ever knowing God. That's why they don't realise they are weak.

What a beautiful privilege to live in the unimaginable and unfathomable presence of God.

The sinful man will never admit he is weak.

Only believers know the truth about man's weakness. Even then, we are still discovering how weak we are without Jesus. God is tender when removing the layers of pride we've sunk into because of sin.

Jesus reminds us we can do nothing without Him (John 15:5). Sinful people know how to do some good but neither understand goodness (of the Word) nor will see it sustained (by the Holy Spirit) in their life.

Jesus told Paul that God's grace (Jesus) strengthens when he feels weak. (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Paul confesses that he can do all things (God's will) in Christ, strengthened by him (Philippians 4:13).

Let the weak say, I am strong, in Christ alone. Only a humble believer will admit he is weak and hopeless without Jesus.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
