What is lacking in the World today? (Part 1/2)

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few. (Matthew 9:37)

What does it mean the harvest is aplenty?

1. The world is filled with people seeking the truth
2. The world is full of new believers who need to consistently hear more of the truth

There is no lack in the number of souls who seek the truth, or sincere believers who want to grow in the Lord. Over the last 10 years, across the world, the rate of people being born again through direct encounters with Jesus has only quadrupled. Souls are being saved, lives are being transformed. All those who seek the truth sincerely end up with Jesus.

Jesus is the way, truth and life.

What is Jesus burdened about?

The lack of labourers to lead the simple who love the Lord.

There are only a few who sincerely labour for the Lord. Many are false teachers and prophets who are preaching for their own belly.

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. (Romans 16:18)

The internet is filled with false teachers and slick preachers. They are aplenty too. Not the righteous labourers who do it because they are filled with the Love of God and are fully surrendered to do His Holy will.

What can believers do?

Begin with these three;

1. Pray for more labourers
2. Be filled with love and compassion for lost souls and misguided believers
3. Be the labourer God desires you to be

Jesus was filled with compassion when he saw the multitude (Matthew 9:36). He found them as sheep without a shepherd. Jesus is the Lord of the harvest; unless we do not love God with all our heart we cannot be the labourers God desires us to be. Be ready for any form of attack against you as you purpose to live for God each day.

In the last days, many will fall prey to evil spirits or become victims of carnal (evil) mindset’s. They could be because of people in your house. Your father, mother, brother, sister, husband, wife or children.

“And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:36-39‬)

It's necessary to know your role in Christ and live in the high calling of Christ. We need to walk worthy of His calling in our lives.

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. (Philippians 3:14, 15)
