How is your spirit today?

When I was much younger I constantly desired to gratify the needs of my body. I lived for the body, and had no understanding concerning the needs of my spirit. My soul cleaved to ungodliness and fleshly desires.

We are not just body, but soul and spirit too.

Since sin entered man, the spirit of man was disconnected from God. The spirit became a captive of evil, carnal natures like anger, jealousy, hatred, bitterness, uncontrolled sexual appetites, and pride, etc.

The soul craves for deliverance from this body for obvious reasons. We live in a sinful world. Filled with various temptations and distractions that enslave the soul. Every time we try to satisfy ourselves with worldly pleasures and hit a wall, we switch to another lust of the flesh.

Today people are using self motivation tactics or creating new purposes to pursue, to keep their flickering, unstable spirit of the mind on track.

You can be happy with fame and money only till a certain point. You can even try to live a simple life and try to appease your soul that you are a man or woman of simple means. You can even try helping others as much as you want. It won’t last long. A day will come to break you down and depress you.

“I may give away everything I have, and even give up my body to be burnt — but if I have no love, this does me no good.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭

The answer to all of life’s problem is Jesus Christ. There is no love without God’s love. That feeling you may have, of someone above? Pursue it. God makes Himself available to those who sincerely seek Him.

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah‬ ‭33:3‬ ‭

Moses was a murderer before he encountered God. Paul was a murderer till he met Jesus. Both ended up being among the greatest examples to learn from, apart from Jesus of-course.

Whatever spirits may be troubling your spirit, be it depression, loneliness, feelings of inadequacy, suicidal tendencies, all can be addressed when you begin surrendering your life to Christ. Jesus is the only God, who came down as man, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again from the dead, bringing victory for all mankind. All those who seek Him diligently. He is a living God. Separate from mythical belief systems and remembering of the dead. Set yourself apart from gurus and sweet talkers.

Jesus is alive and present.

Dear reader, you are precious in God’s sight. No one can love you like Jesus. Pursue Jesus in your heart, desire to know Him. Get yourself a Bible, read the New Testament. Before getting to bed, just say a little prayer inviting Him into your heart. Watch your life change forever!
