How to be more precious than rubies?

Young lady, do you know what makes you more precious than rubies? (Proverbs 31:10)

What qualities make up the bride of Christ? The virtuous woman does not only refer to women in general. It also represents the Bride of Christ, all believers. Revelation 19:7 reminds us that the wife makes herself ready for the lamb.

Are you preparing for the coming of the Lord? Does a born-again believer, a new creature in Christ, have a new lifestyle? Indeed yes!

Be careful of cheap grace preachers who insist that we can do nothing and only need to be as good as possible. While that perspective sounds doable, it lacks the rooting and grounding required to remain in the grace of God as believers. Cheap grace focuses on the self. God's grace powers us as we walk humbly in love.

The world is in darkness, and people are losing hope. Christ helps us to walk in His grace, in love with the fellowship of God and His saints. In Christ, we become more precious than rubies in the sight of God.

Four ways we become more precious than rubies or precious jewels.

  1. She seeks godly wisdom (Job 28:18) (Proverbs 8:11) (Proverbs 3:15)
  2. Seeks the lips of godly knowledge (Proverbs 20:15) (Proverbs 1:7)
  3. She loves holiness. Purer than snow (Lamentations 4:7)
  4. Fully dependent on God, like a lamb. Whiter than milk (Lamentations 4:7)

The wealth of information in the word of God is stunning as we meditate on it daily. The values we base our lives on are not of this world. It is wisdom from above that heals and builds us.

The wisdom of God is greater than anything we can ever desire. The best step we can take is to be the woman God calls us to be.

When we walk in wisdom, we walk in Jesus. We follow Jesus like He followed every word of God. Let's seek His wisdom, knowledge, and holiness as heirs to the throne of God.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
