How To Escape The Wicked Attack Of The Enemy?

When God chooses people for Himself, he helps them escape the wicked attack of the enemy. God preserves them in His majesty and love. God orders theirs steps.

“And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand. And Saul cast the javelin; for he said, I will smite David even to the wall with it. And David avoided out of his presence twice.”

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭18:10-11‬ ‭

David was anointed to be King. Between his being anointed till he entered the palace he remained a shepherd boy. He wasn’t desperate to move into the new role. He stayed faithful as a shepherd boy. David kept fighting bears and lions and the beasts of the jungle to protect the sheep. Tending and keeping his fathers flock.

His faithfulness as a shepherd instilled in him a faith where he could rely on God completely no matter what the circumstances. He was faithful because God was faithful. That faithfulness and diligence in the wilderness enabled him to fight Goliath and overcome him.

When did David enter the kings palace? When Saul who was oppressed by an evil spirit required a musician whose music could help drive away the evil spirit. In time God brought him in - ordered his steps.

Saul who loved him initially (1 Samuel 16:21) began to hate him after a point (1 Samuel 18:9). Saul threw a javelin to kill him, twice, while he played the harp before him.

Be on God's side to escape the wicked attack of the enemy

Sometimes our enemy will be in the same house. Don’t worry, be on God’s side. He will keep you safe. No matter what the enemy tries henceforth, as long as we stay faithful to God, the enemy will always fail.

Now is our time to stay fixed on God. Let people say what they want. Dear believer look to Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. He has chosen you to live for Him. Let His peace rule your heart till He returns in His eternal glory. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen.
