How To Reach The Lost?

Why do some churches stay offline? Why do they not allow online ministry? Here’s one reason why.

Jesus healed a leper and warned him not to tell anyone yet about his healing. The leper disobeyed the warning and went ahead publishing the word of God everywhere in that city. Jesus could not enter into that city to preach the gospel.

And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean... as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

Mark 1:40-45

Reach the lost as the Holy Spirit leads

What seems right in our eyes may not always be the correct thing to do. Spreading the word of God is God’s word, but the timing should be when He gives the go-ahead.

Online ministry is not the same as offline. There is a world of a difference, most believers get unnecessarily emotional and do things against the direction given by leaders.

Individually reaching out online is different from a denomination or ‘brand’. The potential damage is far greater for the denomination rather than the individual.

How to reach out to the lost? Listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Not when you feel like it. God will fulfil His work in and through you. Be holy, walking in purity, God will do the rest. Control yourself, God will do the needful around us.

Prepare yourself to meet God. While sacrifice is good, obedience is best. Maranatha, praise God and amen!
