How To Receive God's Provision In Time?

Do you receive your provision in time or are you focused on hoarding for the future? How is God providing in your life today? The New Testament believer is called to labour for the kingdom of God. But, we find many believers are too busy working very hard in their jobs to provide for family without being able to give due time to God.

The worldly are so concerned about feeding birds and animals; they have no clue that the birds do not need us to feed them. God is already providing for them.

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (Matthew 6:26)

Not only does God feed the birds and animals of the world, He also feeds His own people through birds.

Case in point, the ravens feeding Elijah, the prophet (1 Kings 17:1-6). Elijah was a mighty prophet who God used to bring Israel back to their senses. In a time of famine, God kept His servant satisfied. Elijah lacked nothing. Elijah sought to do the will of God and God took care of all his needs.

We trust man for so many things in life, how much trust are you willing to put on God? The brook where Elijah was stationed dried up. God sent him to another place. Would we have complained when we saw the brook drying up? Elijah did not look at what (man’s thinking) logically was true, he trusted God, who, being God would logically do what was necessary.

What to do to receive God's provision in time?

True faith is found in trusting in God wholeheartedly. When we trust God wholeheartedly, even ravens will feed us too. In a time of spiritual famine, lean on God; He never disappoints. Jesus is coming, Praise God and Amen.
