Know Your God!

And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: Daniel‬ ‭2:21‬

I think, the most saddest point in a believer’s life is when (s)he forgets/fails to understand what God can do for them; the Strength and Might of the God they worship and slowly begin to lose faith in Him!! I admit, life has its fair share of ups and downs, but perhaps it’s also not very surprising because in times as we now live, where everything is readily available at the press of a button; who has the time and patience to wait for an answer from God?

If you are one of them - It’s time to pause and think .....

Well, the above mentioned verse is a revelation that prophet Daniel received in a vision in the land of Babylon when he and his fellow brethren were in exile. King Nebuchadnezzar had attacked Jerusalem, captured king Jehoiakim and seized some of the Temple treasures. He also took some prisoners along, to the land of Babylon. Daniel 1:1,2.

FYI - Daniel was not an ordinary person. He belonged to the royal family - of the tribe of Judah and was also well-educated. However, for him to be captured and treated like a prisoner (for no fault of his) would have come quite heavily on him. But even then, in that heathen land, Daniel never forgot his God nor gave up believing in whom he had believed. God led them through to victory and honoured them with high positions in the kingdom.

Always remember - in our lives, it is God who changes our bitterness into sweetness, trials into victory and sorrow into joy.

Hagar and her child were in deep sorrow. They had no water to drink in the desert and her baby was about to die. She put the child in some distance away from her, not wanting to see him die, turned around and began crying. God heard her and spoke through His angel. God opened her eyes, she saw the well prepared for her and her child - both were revived back to life.

A similar situation of despair had also happened with Hannah. She was a barren woman and was also despised by Peninah - her husband’s first wife. In her misery she went to God, shared her broken heart with Him. God heard her and fulfilled her request. She went back happily.

Believe Him. What He has promised, He is faithful to fulfil it. He’s got your life in His control so you don’t need to worry about the mountains in your way. Speak to the mountain by faith and it will turn into a plain for you. May God help us.

Be blessed 💕
