The Joy Of Salvation

A comedian had 50,000 followers on Twitter, but no friends. He ended up committing suicide.

The man who brought happiness to others lacked real, life-giving joy.

Entertainment can never give life, rather it is an escape from life. Any effort to escape this life will bring certain death.

Why do I exist? What is the purpose of my life? Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going? Why is there so much evil in this world? Is there a God? Am I good enough? These are common existential questions that haunt man in his journey of life.

What happens when you receive the answers to these questions? You will be filled with great joy, a feeling of happiness that's inexplicable. Your eyes will open to a reality otherwise clouded by obscurity and confusion, a darkened heart disrupted by light.

Joy is defined as a feeling of happiness and pleasure. Delight, thrill, excitement, etc. The joy of being alive. Salvation refers to preservation from ruin or loss.

The new (spiritual) birth experience is one of extreme joy and gladness, where a person feels he is come alive in his spirit man. With loneliness and depression plaguing young and old alike, man is in desperate need of freedom and happiness.

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John‬ ‭3:3)

To SEE the kingdom of God, a man has to be born again. Is it possible for a man to see the kingdom of God and stay sad? Impossible!! He would be ecstatic. In Christ, there is a transformation mentally, and emotionally that also impacts our physical lifestyle. When we begin to understand it’s all about Jesus (John 1:3), we surrender every area of our lives in line with the word of God.

“Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things become new.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17.

When you find out that you have inherited untold riches, how will your heart be?

The eunuch (Acts 8:27) reading Isaiah after his worship in Jerusalem, reveals a person hungry for the truth. His hunger to know the truth pleased God to bring Philip into his presence. After Philip preached to the eunuch, not only did he gladly believe, he obeyed in the waters of baptism. His joyful heart was expressed in action. In the 39th verse, we see, that he went away rejoicing. The truth in the word of God opened his mind and heart to a new life ahead which left him with much joy.

“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter‬ ‭1:8-9)

There is much to write about the Joy of Salvation. I've not even skimmed the surface. This site is a small expression of God's joy in my life because of the Salvation I received in Christ Jesus. My desire to share His revelation and testimonies to spark a fire in my readers hearts that'll turn their sorrows into joy.
