Why Lies Should Never Be Uttered?

God hates lies.

This aspect of Christian life is taken for granted by believers. What all does God hate?

There are seven things God hates;

A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (Proverbs 6:17-19)

First, is a proud look. Second, is lies.
These two are deadly and evil natures tearing people apart within themselves and dividing the church.

Is It Okay To Tell Lies, Sometimes?

Is there a lie that is for good? No. Never lie. No matter how bad your situation or who you need to save. Lying is a sin God hates.

There are no acceptable lies. All liars will go to hell.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)

Those who Love Jesus love the truth

No lie is of the truth (1 John 2:21).

We were in a darkness, full of lies. God rescued us, bringing us into the beautiful truth found only in Jesus. Will you ever lie to your loved ones? No. Jesus is the Truth. If you love Jesus you will love truth.

A Lie Can Corrupt An Entire Community

When a ruler encourages corruption, his servants will become liars too (Proverbs 29:12). This applies at home, church and workplace.

Great churches are destroyed because of lying leaders. Some leaders even teach youth that it is okay to lie at times.

Getting right with God first is a basic expectation from every believer. Love God with all your heart, mind and strength.

Let Christ be formed in you. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen.

“Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.” Psalms‬ ‭40:4‬ ‭
