God delights in those who fear Him and hope in His mercy (Psalm 147:11).
13 Qualities of Those Who Fear God
Loves God above all people, places, and possessions. Abraham feared God and was willing to sacrifice his son (Genesis 22:12). We must keep all our "loves" on the altar.
Never mocks others (Leviticus 19:14).
Honours elders. Stand in honour before leaders (Leviticus 19:32).
Never oppresses another. A believer never deals unjustly with others (Leviticus 25:17). Many turn the fruit of righteousness into hemlock (Amos 6:12).
Takes no usury from a brother (Leviticus 25:36). A child of Abraham, after repentance, gave back four times what he had taken from others (Luke 19:8, 9).
Gives offerings (Deuteronomy 14:22; Proverbs 3:9). The Pharisee was proud of giving a tenth (Luke 18:12). Jesus desires His children to offer more than a tenth (Matthew 5:20).
Loves God's Word. A believer studies the Word and never considers another person lesser (Deuteronomy 17:18, 19, 20). In the Old Testament, the book was kept only with the leadership.
Serves God. Remember God's goodness and serve Him with all we are (1 Samuel 12:24; Joshua 24:15). If you do not like worshipping God, then what will you worship? There is none like Him.
Worships God. Praise and glorify Him (Psalm 22:23). Praise is a natural lifestyle. Do not worry; in everything give thanks (Philippians 4:6).
Is fruitful. He receives the fruit of his labour (Psalm 128:1, 2). Job was greatly blessed materially, and Satan tried to destroy his faith by wasting his labour.
Walks in His ways. God leads all who fear Him (Psalm 25:12).
Never lacks. There is no lack for those who fear Him (Psalm 34:9; Job 5:24).
Walks in God's mercy. God has mercy on those who fear Him (Psalm 103:13).
Maranatha. Praise God, and Amen.
