Are You Heartbroken?

Are you heart-broken? Are you discouraged and feel disconnected from life? Come to Jesus. He alone can heal broken hearts and troubled minds.

Sorrow breaks our heart (Proverbs 15:13). There are many reasons why our heart breaks. Death, betrayal, sin — all of these eventually make our heart sorrowful, leading to a broken heart.

The unsaved have no one to turn to when they go through life's troubles. Sadly, many lose themselves to various addictions in the process.

Children of God can always go to God. In the last days, we find many children of God in a backslidden state. Instead of turning to God, many resort to doomscrolling and get caught up in carnal emotions, leaving themselves more burdened.

4 Things to Know About God When You Are Heart-Broken

  • God is close to a broken heart (Psalms 34:18)

  • He does not despise them

  • He hears their prayers (Psalms 51:17)

  • He heals the broken-hearted (Psalms 147:3)

Hannah

Hannah, broken-hearted, cried out to God for a child. She did what she promised by giving Samuel to God. God blessed her with five children (1 Samuel 1–2).

King David

King David was broken-hearted when his child with Bathsheba died. But God did not restore that child. Instead, God spoke to him and addressed the matter — reminding him of his unfaithfulness. After the child died, David got up and returned to worship God (2 Samuel 12).

Not all prayers are answered. But all who ask according to God's will receive their answers from Him.

Dear saint, God knows your state. Be humble when you come to Him with a broken heart. He will respond. He loves you.

Prepare to meet Jesus.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
