Everything Will Be Brought To Light
No man can hide or remain unexposed all his life. Everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light. (Mark 4:22)
If you secretly pray, your life will reveal your intimacy with God. If you secretly sin, your life will reveal how far you are truly away from God.
All evil intentions get exposed by the light (Ephesians 5:13). A believer with evil intentions often ends up backsliding. Many find themselves in an unrepentant state. Esau could not repent. Saul refused to obey God. Judas walked with Jesus. Did everything the disciples did by the power of God. Yet, he could not overcome the love of money.
When Christ is our light, we become the light of the world. Our lives reveal the will of God (John 3:21).
Two things every believer needs to understand are,
DON'T GO AGAINST THE TRUTH
No one can go against the truth. God is truth. Everything was created through Jesus, for Jesus (Colossians 1:15,16).
When we go outside of God's truth, we will stumble and fall eventually. When we choose the company of wicked counsellors, scorners and mockers, we will reveal those natures - we cannot delight in God's word. Evil communication corrupts good manners (1 Corinthians 15:33).
No one can fight the lies with their strength. Satan is the Father of lies (John 8:44). You need Jesus, the truth, to stand against the lies that come against you.
PUT ON THE ARMOUR
Let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armour of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. (1 Thessalonians 5:8)
Only those who put on the armour are clearheaded. Those who don't put it on are naked and miserable. When there's no armour, we give room for all kinds of lusts and pride of life.
A believer intoxicated by pride and secret lusts has lost all self-control. What choices are you making, dear believer?
Redeem the time, the days are evil.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
