Faith In Christ Radically Changes our Lives
Faith produces works that reveal our relationship with Christ. Faith isn’t some internal change that cannot be seen — there is an entire change of character and personality in a believer as faith increases.
Personality is your behavior that everyone sees. Character is your inner, rooted moral compass.
How is the faith of Jesus impacting your personality? Is your faith deeply rooted in Christ?
The apostles had a radical change in their attitude after Christ’s resurrection.
From denying Christ three times, Peter went on to walk in a boldness that surprised the elite Jews (Acts 4:13, 29).
When people saw Peter and John, they recognized them as ones who had walked with Jesus. Does your walk remind others of Jesus?
The apostles were willing to die for Jesus (Acts 5:29). Is your faith rooted and grounded in Christ, who willingly died for you?
Faith reveals the light of Christ in us. Faith that moves mountains needs to first move us. If it doesn’t, we will continue to walk in our old, evil nature.
Nothing is hidden in a believer’s life. Who he or she is, is out for display. Faith in Christ makes you the light of the world.
We learn about Job’s wife when the trials felt extreme — she broke, and her foolishness became evident. Despite living with a man who lived by faith, her faithlessness was brought to light. She was fine; it was her husband who was physically suffering. The other losses were shared losses. Had she learned anything from Job, she could have been a great support in the faith.
Faith fixes our eyes on Jesus and what He has promised us — not on the world or the things of the world.
Faith is a choice only a believer gets to make. Desire to grow in faith. Let the faith of the Son of God stir you to shine the light of God’s love and peace.
Dear believer, look to Jesus. Your world may be crashing down, but God is always present during trouble — not only to deliver us, but to make us shine bright as lights in an increasingly evil and dark world.
