Prayer Isn’t Laziness
Many find it hard to pray because they have a wrong understanding of prayer. Like the worldly, many think prayers are for lazy people. They say, you don't want to work so you pray for God’s help. They feel prayer isn't practical.
When Israel was in bondage in Egypt, the Pharaoh called them lazy.
"... Don’t reduce the quota. They are lazy. That’s why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifices to our God.” (Exodus 5:8)
He increased their workload when the request to offer sacrifices to God was made. He called it all lies (Exodus 5:9).
We face such leaders and managers in the workplace as well. When we tell them there is a prayer meeting, they increase the workload and mock our desire to spend time praying.
We are in the last days. There is a rise in spiritualism and meditative practices. There is a level of acceptability concerning prayer that's crept in. But for us, this change is a call for fervent prayers and a life that shines brighter.
Christendom itself has been affected by false prophets and teachers. Dig deeper into God's word. Immerse yourself in Spirit-filled prayers. The time is short. Let the Holy Spirit guide you personally.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
