Shipwrecked Faith

Is your faith like the ship, Titanic, heading towards an iceberg? The iceberg wrecked the Titanic.

WHAT MAKES FAITH SHIPWRECKED?

  • Worthless, foolish talk (2 Timothy 2:16), which includes,

  • corrupt communication (Ephesians 4:29)

  • neither filthy talk nor mocking, joking (Ephesians 5:4)

Most youth do not consider the impact of their words on themselves and others.

For this reason, Worldly Friendships in church are discouraged. God calls Abraham His friend, and Jesus is our friend. Does God speak like worldly friends? Similarly, what we say to one another matters.

When believers are recognised by God as holy temples, should we not consider the words that come out of our mouths?

Hymanaeus and Alexander's words turned many from the faith (2 Timothy 2:18,19). There are many false teachers on the internet and social media. Some have crept into churches, polluting the truth to divide the church.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR FAITH?

(1 Timothy 1:19)

  1. Hold onto the Words of God (2 Timothy 1:13). Hear the word of God (Romans 10:17)

  2. Give room for the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 1:14)

  3. Keep a clear conscience (1 Timothy 3:9). Don't let your conscience get seared (1 Timothy 4:2)

  4. Be a good worker correctly sharing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15)

Spend quality time with God daily. The Holy Spirit will teach us His ways to live victoriously in the last days. There is little time for Jesus' appearance. Only God can transform and prepare us for His coming.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
