Keep Burning For Jesus

Is your fire always burning? The fire was always burning at the altar (Leviticus 6:13). God is an altar (1 Kings 18:32). Scripture warns us not to quench the Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19). When Elijah prepared the altar, the fire from heaven consumed everything on the altar. We are an altar. We need to be fully surrendered for God to accept our sacrifice.

Heaven has an altar. How do we know? When Isaiah confessed and surrendered himself, an angel (Seraphim) brought hot coals to cleanse his lips. (Isaiah 6:6)

"Give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning"

HOW ARE THOSE WHO KEEP BURNING?

• All will be prophets (Numbers 11:29)

• The anointing keeps them united (Judges 6:34)

• They will make new covenants; consecrate their lives (Judges 11:29)

• Spirit will move mightily; Samson tore a lion like a kid goat.

Dear child of God, be spiritually minded. Focus on the spiritual, not carnal. The Spirit of God is like a bridle (James 3:3). You are the altar. You are precious to God (Matthew 23:18).

Keep burning for Jesus.
