Stop Blaming, Start Living

It's easy to blame the world around you rather than own up to your unhealthy decision-making. So many Spirit-baptised children, after experiencing God supernaturally and being surrounded by loving family and fellowship, grow up ungrateful.

HOW IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE?

It's because they never made the effort to thank God for all He gave. They took the things of God for granted and never desired to know Him personally. They enjoyed everything God gave them — but not God Himself.

When trial hits them, they avoid God.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO AVOID GOD?

(Ephesians 4:17-19 NLT)

Those who avoid God become:

  • Hopelessly confused

  • Full of darkness in their minds

  • Wandering far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds

  • Hardened in their hearts against Him

  • Void of any sense of shame

  • Living for lustful pleasure

Despite having been raised in a Christian environment, they are unable to give up their old sinful natures. They remain in sin's lust and deception.

WHAT'S THE WAY FORWARD?

Let the Holy Spirit renew your mind and heart, daily:

  • Desire to grow in holiness and righteousness

  • Stop telling lies

  • Don't let anger take root in you

  • Use your hands for good work

  • Give generously

  • Stop being foul-mouthed

  • Edify, encourage, and comfort others

  • Don't grieve the Holy Spirit by remaining in bitterness and other destructive attitudes (Ephesians 4:30-31)

  • Be compassionate

  • Forgive all

When we present ourselves humbly to God, He gives us the ability to exercise godly character.

The world needs more like you, dear believer. Trust God to present you Holy and blameless in love.

Maranatha, praise God, and Amen
