Train Your Spiritual Man
Are you training your spirit? Just like our physical body needs training for manual work, our spiritual man needs to be trained for spiritual work.
Solid food is for the [spiritually] mature, whose senses are trained by practice to discern what is morally good and what is evil. (Hebrews 5:14)
Only the Word of God can help us discern (Hebrews 4:12). We know right from wrong based on God's word. His revelation is for us to train our minds and hearts.
When youth (train) invest their time in Christ they grow into spiritually mature believers.
Sadly many old believers do not train themselves spiritually.
They may be doing well financially but don't care about the things of God.
They may be in positions in church but cannot discern the need of the hour.
WHY DO WE NEED TO TRAIN OUR SPIRIT?
don't drift away (Hebrews 2:1)
to walk in love (Hebrews 6:11)
live patiently in hope (Hebrews 6:15-20)
The children of the wicked don't care about God (Job 21:13-15). They live in prosperity, mock God, and have no peace. The children of God who live surrendered to God's word, find themselves in perfect peace.
The spiritual man is free from the pollutions of the world and the desperations of the flesh because of Jesus. We are born again to grow into God's perfection by the power of the Spirit.
No matter how evil the world becomes and makes it difficult for us to live, we must stay surrendered to God, who trains us and keeps us faithful. The time is near.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
