Trust The Holy Spirit Concerning Your Calling

We are wretched, but with Jesus, we are blessed. On our own, we can do nothing for God; with Jesus, all things are made possible for God’s glory in our lives. Jesus is the light that shines in us and through us.

The cross and the resurrection made it possible for us to move forward in love. God’s love produces the faith to live for Jesus and to care for others.

Many believers do not know how precious they are. They do not believe that Christ will work through them. They have been deceived into thinking that feeding the flock is only the pastor’s responsibility.

If you love Jesus, you will care for the flock of God. Is someone sick? You will visit and pray for them. Is someone in trouble? You will pray for them and help however possible. God is not making demands, nor are these rules; they are the natural outcome of loving God (John 21:15–17).

Lies, Many Believers Are Bound By, Concerning Their Calling

  1. Being constantly focused on their problems and shortcomings rather than on the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

  2. Thinking they are not as spiritual as others. Comparison is a sin. We look to Jesus, not to others.

  3. Believing that the Holy Spirit they have received is lesser than what others have received. God’s Spirit, given to all, is immeasurable.

  4. Continuing to struggle with sin because of self-condemnation. Repentance renews our vision of the cross, where Christ secured our victory.

  5. Placing natural family above the family God has given us in Christ. This is a serious lack in the church that keeps believers disconnected from spiritual reality. Fellowship is a basic need for spiritual growth.

  6. Coming to church to fulfill religious obligations rather than to build a godly foundation.

  7. A lack of forgiveness.

Every believer needs a close, personal walk with God to overcome the lies of the devil. The Bible is the source of all truth, and the Holy Spirit reminds us of God’s Word so that we are not tossed about by false teaching.

Gird yourself with the truth. The time is short.

Maranatha. Praise God. Amen.
