Walking Through Water And Fire
(John 11:43, 44) Jesus raises Lazarus. Loose him and let him go.
(Ephesians 2:1,5) We were dead. Now quickened in Christ. (Isaiah 61:1) Jesus came to set people free.
We need to be found alive in Christ. Not bound (spiritually).
(3 John 4) It is a great joy to see children walk in truth. We need to be doers of the truth. Many desire to walk, but can't walk.
WE NEED TO WALK THROUGH THE WATERS 🌊
(Isaiah 43:2) Walk through waters. Who is with those who walk on water? Jesus! God is always with those who trust in Him. OT saints enjoyed God's presence. How much more of the new covenant!
(Jonah 2:3) THOU hast cast me. Jonah says God cast him into the sea. Though, literally speaking, people threw him. Jonah desired to do his will rather than God's. Those who walk in truth will always do the will of God.
(Psalms 106:9) God took Israel through the wilderness after crossing the Red Sea. It was God's will for them to go through the waters. Who went before then? God Himself!
(Psalms 77:19) No footsteps of God on the seafloor despite Him leading us. Everyone will need to go through the water.
WE MUST WALK THROUGH FIRE 🔥
(Genesis 39:2 ) Joseph was blessed in Potiphar's house because God was with him. (Matthew 14:3) John the Baptist was bound, put in prison and beheaded for the truth. (Matthew 5:10) Persecuted for righteousness' sake - kingdom of heaven.
We are partakers of Christ's suffering. (1 Peter 4:12,13) Very soon His glory will appear. On that day, we will rejoice in glory as partakers with Christ.
Whether we walk through the waters or fire, God will be with us.
