What Are Some Reasons To Ask For Forgiveness?
One will be taken up, the other left behind.
Where the dead are, there the vultures gather (Matthew 24:28). Eagles feed on blood (Job 39:30). Jesus said, "Eat my flesh and drink my blood to receive eternal life" (John 6:54). Blood was shed for the remission of sins (Matthew 26:28). We receive forgiveness of sins through His blood (Colossians 1:14).
REASONS TO ASK FOR FORGIVENESS
Jude 11 — Harbouring hatred against brothers.
James 4:17 — Knowing how to do good, but failing to do it.
1 Samuel 12:23 — Not praying for others. Jonah did not pray when life was going well. He ended up praying from inside the belly of the whale.
1 John 3:4 — Going against God's Word.
Leviticus 24:15 — Cursing or blaspheming God. Job's wife cursed God.
Proverbs 10:19 — Failing to restrain your lips from foolish talk.
Romans 14:23 — Whatever is done without faith is sin.
James 2:8–9 — Showing partiality or bias is sin.
1 Corinthians 8:10–11 — Eating food offered to idols. An idol is anything loved more than God.
Deuteronomy 23:21 — Not keeping your vows before God. (Jephthah)
Numbers 9:13 — Forsaking the Passover (Holy Communion).
1 Samuel 3:13 — Not restraining your children.
Forgive others as quickly as possible. Do not hold on to bitterness or hate. Our time is short.
Maranatha. Praise God. Amen.
