PRAYER IS...
A place of humility. It is where we tell God I am nothing, and that without Him, I can do nothing.
Where we charge our hearts with God's Spirit. Get emptied of our self-spirit.
a place to lay all our heavy burdens and take up the easy yoke of Christ
where we receive victory over old evil natures attacking our hearts and minds
where we receive knowledge of our true spiritual state
where we experience God's glory supernaturally, in our spirit or literally
where we receive wisdom (know the future), knowledge (the current), and understanding (rooted and grounded in Word)
a time to renew our walk
a place of waiting in God, hoping in faith for answered prayer
a time to examine and overcome strongholds of the cares, riches, and pleasures of the world pursuing us in the last days
Let this be a reminder of why we pray. When we forget why we pray, our prayer life begins to lose steam - slowly wither away spiritually.
