What Is The Boldness Of A Righteous Man?
What does it mean to be bold?
The dictionary says,
Willingness to take risks
Courageous or Confident
Faithlife isn't a risky life. It's set on the sure word of God. Heaven and earth may pass away but the Word of God will never fail.
Not everyone has courage. It is nurtured over time. We learn to be courageous as we grow older. We grow in confidence as we begin to see the fruit of our labour. We believe after seeing mostly.
Christian boldness is not rooted in self. It is rooted in Christ. When we are rooted in Christ i.e. God's word, we bear fruit in Him. Our boldness is a reflection of Christ's work in us.
In Christ, every believer is bold. We believe and see the glory of God.
What is the boldness IN A RIGHTEOUS MAN?
Prayerlife (Hebrews 4:16). We go boldly to the throne of grace because we know God. We know He hears our prayers.
Utterance to speak mysteries (Ephesians 6:19,20). In the very hour God chooses to use us, the Holy Spirit speaks through us.
Overcoming old beastly natures (Proverbs 28:1). We know where we came from, and know sin is at the door. So we learn to remain in Jesus' presence, shutting the door to all former natures from entering our lives.
Preaching despite opposition (1 Thessalonians 2:2). Many do not want to hear the truth. But we speak the truth nevertheless because we are free - we speak the language of the One who set us free. We are willing to live and die for Jesus.
Speak boldly against fleshly mindsets (2 Corinthians 10:2). We are Spirit-led and seek godly things. We do not run after money or things. We seek God and His righteousness daily.
Dear believer, be bold, be strong, for the Lord your God is with you. The persecution is inside the church. Receive your strength from the Holy Spirit.
