What Work Does The Holy Spirit Do In A Believer's Life?

What is the work of the Holy Spirit in a person's life? Many saints feel filled in the Spirit, bouncing about the church, yet fail to bear the fruit of the Spirit.

Most do not realise that the Holy Spirit is not just power — He is a Person. He inhabits saints and manifests the Word of God in our lives.

Truth

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. Speak the truth always — lies are of the devil. We grieve the Holy Spirit when we reject His counsel and direction out of fear or personal ambition. Jesus is the Truth, and we follow Jesus. Let no guile be found in our mouths.

Holy

Holiness is not about isolation. We cannot become holy by isolating ourselves. Holiness comes through sweet fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The holiness of God makes us shine in a dark world, keeping us pure from worldly thinking and deeds.

Identity

A Spirit-led identity (John 1:33–34) helps us become recognised by others in the body of Christ. Even among non-believers, God demonstrates His power and love through us.

The anointing of the Holy Spirit is a promise for all who have received Christ as Lord. Seek the anointing if you have not yet received Him. He will teach you all things and lead you until the end.
