Who Is The Hero In The Bible?

Bible heroes? There are no heroes in the Bible. There is only one hero, God Himself.

One of the biggest lies we've been fed is that the people God used in the Bible are heroes. How did we believe this? Some reasons I can think of;

• Bibles have headlines called Bible heroes

• claims made by law preachers today (Jews often boasted about their forefathers)

What's the danger? We begin to compare our lives with them and find ourselves completely useless before the mighty works God did through them.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. ALL!

None is good. Not one!

No one is righteous. None!

No one did anything extraordinary. Every believer was used by God to fulfill His perfect will.

How then should we understand every story and book in the Bible? We need to see it from the lens of God's glory.

We were created to praise God. Sin destroyed every iota of our inclination or ability to praise God. What we are left with is surrender after Jesus destroyed the stronghold of Satan in our lives on the cross of Calvary.

Jesus is our hero. He is the hero in every believer's life. Surrender your life to Him. Let Him shine God's glory in and through you.
