Who Praises God?

How to understand our relationship with Praising God?

We are familiar with the verse in 1 Peter 2:9 which teaches us to show forth God's praise. Here are a few verses to get an idea about why Praise is a natural reaction of the believer and not a forced effort.

3 ASPECTS OF PRAISE we need to know as believers

YOU ARE CREATED TO REVEAL GOD'S GLORY

All who know God will reveal God's glory because He created them anew (Isaiah 43:7). We are born again in Christ Jesus. What an honour it is for us to reveal the glory of God! All the more today, God manifests His word or Christ-likeness in wretched people like us. Before sin, Lucifer could not stand the fact that earthly dust would receive such glory.

YOU ARE DESIGNED TO PRAISE THE CREATOR

All creation praises God (Psalms 65). They all reveal the splendour of God's work. God commanded all of creation and it came to being (Psalms 148:5). Every creation before their existence is ordained to praise God (Psalms 102:18).

YOU KNOW GOD DESERVES ALL THE GLORY

All who know God understand that God alone deserves all the glory (Psalms 139:14). Deep in our souls we are fully aware of the greatness and goodness of God.

Dear child of God, as hell-bound sinners, we are saved by God's amazing grace. We were rescued from a terrible darkness into a marvellous light. God's light is the glory revealed in and through us. You are the light of the world. You are the glory of God. Let Jesus shine through you.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
