Why Even Believers Need To Repent?
Is repentance only for the sinner? Do believers need to repent after they've repented once and received Christ as Lord and Saviour?
What are the reasons one must repent?
Here is a list of 10 reasons why believers need to repent.
Repent because the Kingdom of God is at hand. (Matthew 3:2)
Repent for the forgiveness of sin. (Mark 1:4)
Repent for final salvation (2 Corinthians 7:9,10)
Repent for your sins to be blotted out (Acts 11:19)
Repent that you may not perish (Luke 13:3)
Repentance leads to life (Acts 11:18)
Repent that you may receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38)
Repentance leads to Knowledge and Truth (2 Timothy 2:25)
Repent that you may not lose your blessing (Hebrews 12:17)
Repent for the coming of the Lord (Revelation 3:3,19)
God is gracious to those who come to Him in repentance.
Who is Jesus coming for?
"I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.” (Luke 5:32)
