Are You Alive Or Just Living On?

Are you alive or just living? Bread is enough to just live on. But to be alive, Jesus says, we need to live by every word that proceeds from God (Matthew 4:4).

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE ALIVE?

When man disobeyed and sin entered, something in him died—his spirit. His spirit lost its spiritual connection with God. His spirit, or inner man, became a slave to the pleasures and needs of the body and the influence of Satan.

Jesus is a life-giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45). When we were born again, Jesus gave us life. Our spirit man or inner man became open to the things of God once again.

Every born-again encounter is personal and not necessarily the same for everyone. But there are clear signs and fruits found in the saved or those who've come alive in Christ.

• Paul beheld the glory of God on his way to persecute Christians (Acts 9:3-6). He saw Jesus who told him to prepare for what he must do for Him. A persecutor of Christ's believers became persecuted for Christ.

• The eunuch was transformed when the Word of God was opened to Him. He immediately decided to live for Jesus. He took Water Baptism and went away joyfully. (Acts 8:26-39).

Jesus says Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Will you remain in your old ways after such a wonderful revelation? Don't douse the light of life in you, dear saint.

The word of God came to us because of the precious blood of Jesus (Romans 8:1-4). Won't you surrender to the life-giving Spirit of God, dear saint?

OH how much He loves us! Put every weight aside and call out to Him today. He will hear you. Prepare yourself to meet Jesus.
