Your Heart Is The Problem

God checks the hearts. Man checks outward appearances (1 Samuel 16:7).

What does scripture say about the human heart?

Here are 3 types of hearts scripture mentions.

  • The heart is deceitful (Jeremiah 17:9).

  • Guard your heart diligently. Issues of life flow from it (Proverbs 4:23)

  • The heart is defiling man's life (Mark 7:20,21)

We are busy with many things but not concerned about our heart.

4 WAYS GOD RELATES WITH OUR HEART

  • God looks into our heart (1 Samuel 16:7)

  • God searches our hearts (1 Chronicles 28:9)

  • God knows our heart (Deuteronomy 8:2). Psalms 44:21)

  • God tries out the heart (1 Chronicles 29:17). Example; Abraham

One important state our hearts need to be in is, holy. King David prays, (Psalms 51:7) Create a clean heart.

A CLEAN HEART RECEIVES FIVE BLESSINGS

  • See God (Matthew 5:8). Clean heart = Holiness (Hebrews 12:14).

  • God is good to Israel (Psalms 73:1), a people with clean hearts. 10 children died in one day for Job. He never complained.

  • God is a friend of those who love clean lips (Proverbs 22:11). King = Jesus. Abraham was called a friend of God (James 2:23).

  • God draws nearer to those, whose hands and hearts are clean and pure (James 4:8).

  • Appear before God in Zion and New Jerusalem (Psalms 24:3,4).

Dear child of God, receive the heart God wants to give you for His glory. Seek a clean heart. Prepare to meet God.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
