4 Matters In Which Jesus Has Been Faithful

Key verse: 2 Timothy 2:14 | Of these things PUT THEM IN REMEMBRANCE, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

Israel left Egypt but only Joshua and Caleb entered. Why? The ones left behind remembered Egypt rather than God's promise.

WHAT MUST WE REMEMBER?

Even if we have been unfaithful, God is faithful (2 Timothy 2:13). We are still unfaithful in light of God's word. Yet, Jesus remains faithful.

In what matters has JESUS BEEN FAITHFUL?

TO FORGIVE OUR SINS

(1 John 1:9)

We should not be accused by the world (1 Corinthians 11:30:31). If we judge ourselves, we will not be judged. A repentant life will keep us in Christ. Forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness. Daily, examine yourself, it is not God's will that we remain sickly, weak and sleepy.

UNTO FELLOWSHIP OF JESUS

(1 Corinthians 1:9)

Jesus has been faithful in giving us His fellowship. Job had a hedge around him - Satan was aware. We have a hedge around us - Jesus. The saints are like a hedge too. King David's protection of Israel kept Nabal's sheep safe. We must stay in fellowship with the Father, Son, and the saints.

DURING TEMPTATIONS

(1 Corinthians 10:13)

No matter what we go through, God's grace is sufficient to overcome. Trapped between the Red Sea and Pharaoh's army, Israel feared they would die. God saw them through wonderfully. God knows us and will always be there for us.

ESTABLISH AND KEEP FROM EVIL

(2 Thessalonians 3:3)

God is faithful to protect us from evil. Satan desired to sift Peter, but Jesus prayed for him so that he would not fall away (Luke 22:31,32). Though we fall in this journey of faith, Jesus still intercedes for us. Let us also pray for one another.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
