God Is With You Through the Storm
Soon as Jesus was born, Joseph and Mary went through quite the storm. But God was with them through the storm. J&M could have complained about so many things. They could have demanded better lodging, support, and a whole lot more. After all, they had the responsibility of carrying the Saviour of the world. But they quietly endured because they believed God was with them.
Did Joseph have the resources to buy things for the family? He did — the gifts from the wise men were worth thousands of dollars. Did they lack food? No. The shepherds would have fed them well.
Often we are too consumed by our struggles and sufferings that we forget God is with us. God arranged everything in time for Joseph and Mary.
The angel spoke to Joseph about the divine conception
God’s angel warned them to escape to Egypt
God sent shepherds and wise men
Joseph’s fear of returning to Israel was removed through a dream
We can choose to look at our problems, or lean on the One who promised to be with us always.
God could have given Joseph and Mary the very best — from a material and physical point of view — with infant Jesus. But He had a greater plan concerning us, His children. Today we relate with Christ and His sufferings as we journey through this life.
What are you going through today? Don’t worry. Christ will be your strength. Trust in Him. He has overcome all. Give God all the glory.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
