God Shows The Way
Children learn when they are shown the way. You can preach a lot to them, but it's pointless without guided processes that engage their minds and hearts.
Some parents say things like, I've left my child in the hands of the servants of God. They will do the needful. Sadly, so many children are lost because some saints indoctrinate children with religious fervour rather than reveal Christ.
On the other hand, some parents blame SS for ruining their children because of immature teachers or wrong doctrine. Instead of revealing Christ at home and taking up SS issues with church leaders, they look for 45 mins of SS elsewhere. Why bother? Change your church!
The problem isn't with others. The problem is not trusting God to show the way.
A family moved to another country and was concerned about their children's education. They prayed and God not only opened safe options, but also anointed the children with the Holy Spirit.
Many parents are overprotective about their children. It's fear in disguise.
God desires we trust in Him for all things, even regarding children. Trusting God involves a lifestyle that reflects Christ before them.
What are a few things to expect the children to see in the lives of their parents? In other words, how does trusting God look like?
Consistent prayer life - teaching them to pray
Studying the Bible as a family - encouraging children to share lessons from Bible stories
Conducting yourself in decency and decorum - children are always watching and imitating
Apologising when mistakes occur. Encouraging good works. Appreciating efforts - exemplary lifestyle you want children to adopt.
Spending quality time listening to them. Also, helping them understand as much as possible.
We are in the last days, and the church is facing its final crisis. It's not the time to look outside. It's time to look inside.
What is the Holy Spirit telling you? Do you have the trust to obey?
Is your Christianity powerless? Has it become too intellectual? Have you gotten too comfortable? Is Jesus numero uno in your life?
Examine yourself. Hear His voice. Obey. Everything will fall in place. God always keeps His promises.
