How Are Believers Sanctified?

God's glory sanctifies us (Exodus 29:43, 44). Seeking God's glory is a Christian's daily pursuit. He lives to glorify God through his life.

The journey is often defiled by two powerful evils.

Secret sins (Psalm 19:12): Sin separates us from God and gives room for all kinds of fleshly defilement.

Pride keeps a believer self-centered; his mind becomes corrupt and his heart charged with deceit.

7 WAYS WE GET SANCTIFIED

  • Grace (Acts 20:32)

  • Blood of Jesus (Hebrews 13:12)

  • Word of God (John 17:17)

  • Praying with tears (1 Timothy 4:5)

  • Fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1)

  • Holy Spirit (Romans 15:15)

  • Faith (Acts 15:9)

Sanctification is God's will for our lives (1 Thessalonians 4:3). It is impossible to be sanctified without Jesus — every way of sanctification comes through Him alone.

Dear saint, seek to be renewed daily. Guard your heart from every appearance of evil.
