What Do Mockers Mock?

(Revelation 22:12) Jesus is coming soon to reward everyone according to their works. Even the Spirit of God says, "Come."

Jesus is coming for the wheat gathered for Himself.

Jesus' coming has been foretold. For example, Micah prophesies about Jesus (Micah 5:2).

In the last days, mockers will be present (2 Peter 3:3, 4). They will mock Jesus' coming. Mockers cannot prepare for the coming of God.

WHAT DO MOCKERS MOCK?

  • They mock sin (Proverbs 14:9). They are fools. Sin is a serpent, and serpents bite.

  • Mockers laugh at growth (Genesis 21:9). Sarah laughed at the possibility of giving birth in her old age. The house of Abraham represents the house of God — mockers within the house of God mock those who desire spiritual growth.

  • People were gathered for the Passover (2 Chronicles 30:10–11*). Some mocked it. The Passover represents Holy Communion, the death of Jesus. Those who don't reflect on the death of Jesus mock it.

  • They mocked the Sabbath (Lamentations 1:7). Children of God observe the Sabbath. Today, every day is a Sabbath day of rest for us — the Spirit of comfort and rest dwells in us.

  • The soldiers mocked Jesus, kneeling before Him in mockery (Matthew 27:29). Children of God kneel to worship Jesus.

Hold on to your crown (Revelation 3:11). Let mockers mock. Let us love and hold fast to the promises of Jesus. He is coming for all who love His appearing.

Maranatha, praise God, and amen.
