How To Enjoy Your Relationship With The Heavenly Father?
Every loving father finds great pleasure in giving whatever he has to his children. Yet in the earthly system, there are many limitations.
What Is the Father's Pleasure?
It is to give us His kingdom (Luke 12:32).
To make it possible for us to receive His kingdom, He sent Jesus to be persecuted and crucified. Jesus makes us worthy because He took our sins and bore the justice of God upon Himself (Isaiah 53:10).
Jesus left us an example. He revealed a relationship with the Father that we could never have imagined. Our blindness because of sin was overcome by the Father's mercy and love for us.
4 Insights from Jesus' Relationship with the Father
Jesus did nothing by Himself (John 5:19). We can do nothing without Jesus (John 15:5).
Jesus saw what the Father was doing (John 5:20). The Holy Spirit helps us look to Jesus and follow His ways (John 14:26).
The Father showed Jesus what He was doing (John 5:20). Jesus has shown us what He did so we can rest in His finished work.
The Father has given all judgment to the Son — whoever believes in Jesus passes from death to life (John 5:22–24). The word of God helps us judge ourselves so we can live and overcome eternal death.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of the Father, and the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit rest and abide with us until Jesus comes.
Maranatha. Praise God. Amen.
