If Your Faith Is Not Tested, You Will Not Grow Spiritually

I visited a believer bedridden for several years. Despite not receiving his healing to date, he manages to smile and laugh. He hasn't given up his faith in Christ. His faith is daily tested, and thus far he has endured by the grace of God.

Another believer, an old man around 90ish, is often visited by angels during his morning praise sessions. He lives alone in a mansion in a foreign country. He overcomes his loneliness by faith, in the Holy presence of God.

Is your faith getting tested daily? If not, you are living a dead life.

When faith is tested, it births patience (James 1:3). Often we give up too soon and do not let patience grow. When we keep the faith, our patience gets perfected, and complete. We realise that we lack nothing. (James 1:4)

What does Jesus want when He comes? He wants to see us in faith - holding on patiently. He isn’t coming to see you successful on earth. He wants to see you faithful in Him. He wants to see the Word bearing fruit in your spiritual life.

Jesus died on the cross so we receive eternal life through Him, the author and finisher of our faith. Jesus was tested in every way. Our faith will also be tested. The advantage? We have Jesus in every test as we abide in His Word daily.

Seek wisdom, dear saint. Ask with faith, without doubting. Wisdom will help you during your trial of faith as you wait patiently in God's perfect and complete work.
