Love Is The Way Of Life

Does anyone need to tell you to check on your loved ones? No. You will check on them, nevertheless. It's the way of life you are accustomed to, it's only natural for most decent people.

LOVE IS THE WAY OF LIFE

When Jesus commands us to love others as He loves us (John 13:34). He isn't telling us anything new as believers. He is reminding us of the way of life - of heaven, on earth.

We may not be accustomed to heaven's way, yet, but we are familiar with what it means to love your own.

Now the battle is inside us. Do you want to LOVE THE OLD WAY OR THE NEW WAY?

What was the old way to love? We loved those who loved us. Hated, avoided, disliked, etc., those we don't love.

The new way teaches us to love all, no matter what!

We know how to love the old way - it depended on our knowledge and feelings. The new way depends entirely on God's knowledge and power.

The old way was in our control and power. The new way seeks total dependence on God alone for our mental, emotional and physical needs.

WHICH WAY IS EASY?

We think the easy way is the old way. But where will it lead us? Into hopelessness as we live outside of the wisdom of God. The new way is easier because Christ makes living it a reality. We feel helpless but grow hopeful each day. The helplessness turns into confidence as we grow in His love.

DESIGNED TO LOVE LIKE JESUS

As a new man in Christ, we are designed to love all. Don't go against God's design. It is the most excellent way - built on the framework of His word.

Keep your eyes and ears fixed on Jesus. He will fulfil His work of love through the Holy Spirit.
