Never Say Never Because God Has Plans For You

”I was brought up in a strict, nominally Christian environment. My family prayed daily according to our traditions. I needed to go to another city to study, and my parents sent me to live with a Pentecostal family, the only people they knew in that city. My mother warned me never to join them in prayers or listen to their preaching. I told her I would rather slit my throat than join these Pentecostals.

The family prayed regularly at home, but I would shut the door and study. One day, I heard a voice in my room: "Where will you go if you die today?" I heard the voice three times. The third time, the voice called my name. I thought, "I am a Christian. Why would I not go to heaven?" Then I realised God was speaking to me.

The fear of death gripped me. I cried to God, saying, "I don't want to go to hell." Jesus appeared, His face shining, full of light. I could not see His face, but I saw a vision of Calvary and the bloodied body of Jesus, who died for me. I cried, 'O Lord, I am a sinner, please forgive me.' Immediately I was filled with the Holy Spirit, with the sign of speaking in tongues. The love of God filled me and washed me whiter than snow.

God revealed to me the basic truth of water baptism. I had a sickness that affected my eyes. The day I was baptised in water, the sickness never returned.

God called me into ministry, but I did not want to be a Pentecostal minister. One day, God showed me a place in the third heaven (spiritual Zion and the New Jerusalem), the place He was preparing for me. I submitted to God wholly. Without telling anyone, I left for ministry.

Since then, I have gone through much suffering and affliction, but God gave me victory over it all. Many times, I was at the point of death because of sickness, but the power of the Holy Spirit kept healing me. To date, God has helped me to continue to minister for His glory. God is faithful.”

Five Quick Lessons from the Testimony

  1. God's love pursues His children. God has a plan for everyone born on earth. Each one is a product of His mind before the foundation of the earth. Our identity, which was stolen by the devil, comes alive only when we realise who we are in Christ Jesus.

  2. Religious indoctrination can keep us from the truth. Everyone is born religious, even those born into the Pentecostal faith. A real encounter with Jesus is necessary to break free from hypocritical bondage.

  3. When the Holy Spirit moves, we become new. We receive a new heart and a renewed mind. After the encounter with God, there was no need to ask anyone about the future path. God reveals His will to us through the Holy Spirit, our helper and guide.

  4. God still heals. He is Jehovah Rapha. Jesus healed all manner of sickness and disease, and the power of the Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead can heal any sickness or disease.

  5. God will prepare us for the place He has kept for us. Jesus said He would come and take us to the place He is preparing for us. Our God is faithful. Not only has He prepared a place for us, but He has also given us the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. Jesus will also come personally to take us to that place (the rapture).

Prepare yourself to meet Jesus.

Maranatha, praise God, and Amen.
