RIGHTEOUSNESS — The Finished Work of Christ on the Cross
2 Corinthians 5:14 — Jesus is our righteousness. He knew no sin, but became sin for us. Jesus was raised in righteousness for us (Romans 4:25). Jesus became many things for us (1 Corinthians 1:21). We have no fellowship with unrighteousness (2 Corinthians 6:14).
7 Ways We Received the Righteousness of God
JESUS: In Jesus, there is forgiveness of sins (Acts 13:38–39). His mercy saved us (Titus 3:5).
THE NAME OF JESUS: (Matthew 1:23) — When we claim the name of Jesus, salvation is present. We are washed, sanctified, and justified by the name of Jesus (1 Corinthians 6:9–11). People are counted as righteous, not because of their works, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners (Romans 4:5).
THE BLOOD OF JESUS: While we were still sinners, He died on the cross (Romans 5:8–9). When we believe in the blood of Jesus, we become righteous.
THE RESURRECTION: When we believe that Jesus rose from the dead (Romans 4:24–25), we become righteous. Jesus went to the Father when everything was accomplished (John 16:10).
GRACE: Grace makes us righteous (Romans 3:24). Justified by grace, we are made heirs unto eternal life (Titus 3:6–7).
FAITH: We are justified by faith (Romans 5:1). We need to believe that we are righteous.
GOD CALLS US RIGHTEOUS: (Romans 8:33) — God justifies. No one can lay a charge against God's elect.
Jesus is interceding for us before the Father. Do not condemn yourself anymore. Stop listening to the devil — Jesus paid the price.
Maranatha! Praise God! Amen.
