The Church Of God Worships Jesus, Not Man
Ministers, Mediators, and the Living Christ
There is a false notion most believers carry in their hearts — they think that all who are in ministry are holy and always speak the truth. This expectation is not biblical. Scripture teaches us to discern every spirit. It does not single out ministers as more believable than anyone else.
Ministry is not a qualification. It is a calling — just as every born-again Christian is called to function as a member of the body of Christ. Everyone has a ministry; one is not greater than another.
Christ Alone Is Mediator
Jesus is the only mediator between God and man, yet many believers prefer to depend on ministers. Those who do are still in a carnal state.
Some believers are possessive about certain ministers they favour. This is a recipe for division and quarrelling in the church. By default, we are biased and conditioned to honour others based on their earthly status.
The cross and resurrection changed everything. The gospel teaches us to place our faith in Jesus Christ alone. He is the only one who must be preferred above all else — for Christ is the living God with us.
The Anointing, Not the Appointment
Those who are spiritually dead cannot experience Christ as the living God. The spiritual warfare we face daily is against our old nature, which constantly attempts to take control of our spiritual lives.
Dear child of God, it is not our appointment that decides our eternal future — it is our anointing. Let the anointing of God’s love flush out every toxic nature that does not please Him.
Maranatha. Praise God. Amen.
