The Shewbread: Remaining Hidden in Christ
In Exodus 25:29-30, we see the shewbread, covered with dishes of pure gold, set on the table before God always.
Jesus is the bread of life, sent from heaven for us. We, saints, must remain before God, hidden in Christ.
God keeps Himself hidden (Isaiah 45:15).
We are the bread before God always. Looking at Jesus daily, we remain hidden.
Jesus hid and disappeared from the temple (John 8:59). Jesus said we are children of the light, and he remained hidden (John 12:36).
God does not desire praise or honor from people (John 5:41). Praise or honor from God is far more precious (John 12:43).
Who Remains Hidden?
Those who do not seek their own. Do not seek honor or great things for yourself (Jeremiah 45:1,5).
God sent an angel to Manoah. The angel kept his name secret (Judges 13:18).
Stay hidden to present Christ.
He will bear the fruit of Christ — the Spirit of mercy (Luke 6:36).
Express the love of God. God is love (1 John 4:8).
Forgive others (Ephesians 4:32).
Give generously (John 3:16).
No difference found in God (John 17:23).
Walk in holiness (John 17:11).
Fountain of peace (Philippians 4:9).
When we stay hidden in Christ, we will be like the shewbread before God always.
Maranatha. Praise God. Amen.
